We offer a number of ways for students to train at The Yard. We are equipped with multiple batting cages, video training technology, pitching mounds and lots of space to work on your skills. Depending on what you are looking to work on or the setting under which you would like to learn, there are a number of packages that will fit your needs.

CHRIS PINE

CO-OWNER/LEAD INSTRUCTOR

- Played college baseball at Oregon State University (1995 - 1998)
- First Team All Pac-10 Selection
- Second Team Freshman All-American
- Invited to play on US Olympic Baseball Team (1997)
- Fifth Round Selection of the Milwaukee Brewers (1998)
- Reached Double A and Triple A Level with the LA Angels
- Owner and Instructor at The Yard since 2008

BRANDON RUPP

CO-OWNER/INSTRUCTOR/DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

- Played college baseball at Mt. Hood CC (2003 - 2004) and George Fox University (2005 - 2006)

- Two Time All League Player at George Fox

- Graduated with a degree in Marketing and Management

- Assistant Coach at George Fox for 6 seasons (2007 - 2012)

- Owner/Instructor/Director of Marketing since the academy opened in 2008

TONY PINE

INSTRUCTOR

- Played college baseball at Mt. Hood CC and W. Oregon University

- All League Pitcher with Mt. Hood CC in 2000

- Won NWAACC Championship with Mt. Hood in 2000

- Played Amateur Baseball (2006 - 2014)

- Seven Time League All-Star Selection

- World Series Champion (2009)

- Instructor at the academy over the past 8 seasons

NATE MONTGOMERY

INSTRUCTOR, STRENGTH COORDINATOR

- Played college baseball at Pacific University (2012-2016)

- Graduated with a degree in Exercise Science/Motor Behavior

- Conducted research on Skill Development/Arm Injury Prevention

- Former student and now instructor at the academy since 2008

ZOE GALINDO

SOFTBALL INSTRUCTOR

- Four Year Starter in Centerfield for Harvard University
- Senior Captain who helped lead Harvard Softball to first Ivy League Campionship in four years
- Two Time NFCA Academic All American (2015-2016)
- Second Team All Ivy League Selection (2016)
- Finished 2016 season with a 1.000 Fielding Percentage
- Studied Psychology (Cognitive Neuroscience) and Economics
- Currently working at NIKE WHQ in NA Brand Operations and Technology

PAIGE RHODES

SOFTBALL INSTRUCTOR

- Played college softball at Cal State Dominguez Hills (2012-2013) and Adelphi University (2010-2011)
- Dominguez Hills were CCAA champions in both seasons and had a combined record of 80-40, ending each season in the NCAA Division 2 Super Regionals (2012-13)
- Played outfield and pitched in college (2010-2013)
- Assistant coach at La Sierra High School, Riverside, CA (2014)
- Pitching lessons, Riverside, CA (2014-16)
- Corona High School female Athlete of the Year (2009)
- Two-time All Big VIII League player at Corona (2008-2009)
